Progression

I feel like my teeth have moved a tremendous amount lately and wanted to show some pictures to document. 

Ortho appointment 1/3/2014

Just got done at the ortho. I've been upgraded to newer wires that apparently will move my teeth more. I also have a chain going all the way around my top row of teeth to start moving my teeth back and fix the protrusion of my maxilla. I am scheduled to go back in 6 weeks but was told I will probably be back in a few days because my teeth will have moved so much that the wire will be poking into my cheeks. 

Second orthodontist appointment

I had my second appointment last Friday the 22nd. They replaced the chain that they have connecting my lower canines to my molars to pull them back into the extraction site. It hurt like a bitch to get the chain switched but surprisingly no pain today. The orthodontist was very surprised by how fast my teeth are moving and said they are ahead of schedule so far! Hopefully my teeth keep it up!

Just posting some pics of my teeth movement. My bottom teeth have been really sore the past few days making it hard to bite into food. I'm hoping that goes away soon! 

Updates

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted. Our lives have been crazy with me having a new job and being on call 24/7 for a week at a time. The braces have been going well and I have only had 1 migraine since getting my teeth extracted! My boyfriend and I have made a big decision and decided to keep our apartment! Jake got a promotion at work so our finances are in a little better position then before. Also, neither of us is fond of the fact that we would have to relocate our animals which are our children to us. You'll find photos attached of the progress that has been made since getting braces on about 2 and a half weeks ago.

Day 7: Braces!

Just got done getting my braces on at the ortho! Took 2 hours all said and done. No pain at all so far! I am sure that will change when things start to shift. All of my brackets are the Damon brand, upper anterior teeth have the clear version while the rest are metal brackets. My teeth look very messed up with the braces in place, hoping they shift before too long! My next appointment is in 5 weeks, November 15th. I will post updated photos at least once a week to show teeth shifts/changes. I am very excited that everything is falling into place!

Day after extraction

I actually feel normal today. Minus the fact I have 4 gapping holes in my mouth, hardly any pain and now swelling. After the surgery I was woozy but I ate some ice cream, took some vicodin and went to bed. I woke up about 3 hours later, watched tv, took more pain meds, took and shower, and brushed my teeth. This is when the worst pain set in. Note to anyone getting extractions,  DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE! I got some stuck in my socket,  holy lord I was in pain. I just went to bed with an ice pack on but it could have been avoided. Ive attached pictures for you to see the sites ofthe extraction. Braces will be put on next Friday.
